Early wooden monaural stethoscope in two pieces. Chestpiece is 3.5cm in diameter and has a cone shaped end which fits flush with the tube and earpiece, and can be removed for more or less resonant sound of heartbeat. The tube is wide at the proximal end to accommodate the insertion of the chestpiece, and tapers in narrowly towards the distal end, where a circular, slightly convex earpiece is fitted. Earpiece has brown marking, "1.50" likely a price. Wood appears to be cedar.
