Physical Details	Hood presented to Dr. William Sanger in concert with the honorary Doctor of Laws degree granted him by the University of Richmond in 1939. Hood is sewn from heavy fabric. Velvet trim is deep purple, the traditional color assocated with law degrees. The part of the hood worn to the rear is bright red on the outside, with a dull blue highlight on the interior.
