Glass prescription vial with stainless steel slip cap. Taller than wide, round, and made of lightweight glass. The vial has a cap which is designed to slip on and off of the top with the finger, patented 1929 (US Pat #1720835) Outside of bottle has a printed label, which reads: "Tablets No. 1550 Amytal 3/4 Grain." Bottle contains two pills, orange-red in color, and a razorblade edge which is slightly serrated. Sized to fit in a leather loop at the top of a medicine kit (1985.19.11a).
