Physical Details	The hood is designed to cover the mouth, hair, eyes during a surgical procedure.The garment is lightweight cotton or linen, with a straight line over the forehead and a curved cut to accommodate the length of the nose under the hood. The bottom of the dressing is long, designed to be tucked into an accompanying gown. This was a relatively uncommon form of surgical dressing, combining an aseptic face mask and hat into a single piece.
