Jackson laryngoscope with electric adapter and camera attachment. Laryngoscope body has a sliding slot attachment and a "U"-shaped handle with a wide thumb grip at one corner of the body. The apparatus is engraved "PILLING-PHILA U.S.A." The light system was modified by its owner to add a position light source in such a way that amount of light into the instrument was increased, making laryngeal photography easier. The electrical cord is shielded with dark brown rubber, and has a two-pronged male end and a wide metal female end with a standard pin clasp. A detachable bronze tube with an adjustable screw-type coupling connector fits the base of the instrument. Accession is contained in a box labeled "Dr. E. T. Gatewood. [Professional ?] Special Laryngoscope." Contains a chamois pouch for transportation of the instrument.
