Original Description (From Book)	This small building appeared in a 1903 book illustrating Negro business in Richmond. It has not been altered since. The small building to the rear was built in 1852.
Original Note (From Book)	The Five Hundred Block of North Second Street was once the commercial center of Jackson Ward, and retains its turn of the century commercial character.
