MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF VISITORS
OF VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY
MAY 17, 1990
A Special Meeting of the Board of Visitors of Virginia Commonwealth
University was held on Wednesday, May 17, 1990, at 5:45 p.m. in the
University Meeting Center.
Present were Drs. Moore and Johnson; Messrs. Farinholt, Lipman,
Meador, Morris, Siegel, Townes, Whitworth and Wurtzel; and Mrs. Epps.
Absent were Messrs. Ferguson, Gregory and Latham; Dr. Holland; and Mrs.
Abady. Also present were Drs. Ackell, Andrako, Dewey and Ruch; Messrs.
Bruegman, Gehring, Kudless and Ross; Mrs. Price and Mr. Joe, Student
Representative.
Dr. Moore called the meeting to order and welcomed the members of
the Boards of the MCV and VCU Foundations and Mr. William W. Berry,
recipient of the 1990 Presidential Medallion.
Following dinner Dr. Ackell presented Mr. Berry with the Presiden-
tial Medallion for his contributions to The Campaign for VCU.
A discussion followed on divestiture of funds in accordance with
the Governor's Executive Order Number Eight.
The meeting was adjourned at 8 p.m.
