MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF VISITORS
OF VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY
May 21, 1986
A special meeting of the Board of Visitors of Virginia Common-
wealth University was held on Wednesday, May 21, 1986, at 5:30 p.m. in
the University Meeting Center.
Present were Messrs. Allen, Berry, Farinholt, Gregory, Morris,
Reynolds, Smith and Wurtzel; Mrs. Abady; and Dr. Moore. Absent were
Messrs. Grey, Lipman and Ludeman; Dr. Holland; and Mesdames Bemiss and
Brown, Bruegman, Doswell and Ware; and Mrs. Price. The special guest
Whittemore. Also present were Drs. Ackell, Ruch and Sparks; Messrs.
speaker was Dr. Lindsay M. Hunt, Dean of the School of Dentistry.
Following dinner, Dr. Hunt reviewed the projected health manpower
shortage and the strengths and weaknesses of the Dental School.
The meeting was adjourned at 8 p.m.
