MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF VISITORS
OF VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY
A special meeting of the Board of Visitors of Virginia Commonwealth
September 12, 1984
University was held on Wednesday, September 12, 1984, at 5:30 p.m. in
the University Meeting Center.
Present were Mesdames Abady, Bemiss and Whittemore; Messrs. Grey,
Lipman, Morris and Smith, and Drs. Moore and Nemuth. Absent were Mess-
rs. Allen, Berry, Farinholt, Ludeman, and Reynolds; Dr. Gayle and Mrs.
Thalhimer. Also present were Drs. Ackell, Andrako, Bradley, Brownie,
DePillars, Curtis Hall, Wayne Hall, Harris, Henry, Revere, Ruggiero,
Ruch, Smith, Sparks and Wilson; Mr. Bruegman and Mrs. Price.
Following the reception and dinner, Dr. Ackell presented a compre-
hensive overview of the University.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
