MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF VISITORS
OF VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY
November 16, 1983
A Special Meeting of the Board of Visitors of Virginia Commonwealth
University was held on Wednesday, November 16, 1983, at 6:00 p.m. in
the University Meeting Center.
Present were Drs. Coleman and Nemuth; Messrs. Allen, Craigie, and
Lipman; and Mrs. Thalhimer. Absent were Messrs. Cotten, Farinholt,
Grey, Ludeman, Morris, Reynolds and Smith; Dr. Gayle; and Mesdames
Bemiss and Whittemore. Also present were Drs. Ackell, Hall, and
Wilson; Messrs. Bruegman, Guerdon, Lash and Ross; Ms. Barnes and Mrs.
Price.
Following dinner, Dr. Ackell introduced Mr. Myles Lash, Executive
Director of MCVH. Mr. Lash reported on the latest issues involving
health care in general and MCVH.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
