Description	Five Forks Elementary School for African Americans on secondary road 658 west of Five Forks, Prince Edward County, Va. View of privy. Built in 1918, the school (not in photo) served grades 1-5, and had a pupil capacity of 60. It consisted of two rooms, three wooden shacks and one privy. No indoor plumbing and no steam or hot water heat.
