Original Description (From Book)	A late nineteenth century commercial building, this grocery is well-preserved except for the modern shopfront. While the building is quite elaborate and the segmental arch has keystones, the building is not painted in appropriate colors.
Original Note (From Book)	600 Block of North First Street - This is one of the most consistent blocks in Jackson Ward. Built in the last decades of the nineteenth century, this block contains smaller homes than on Leigh or Clay Streets. These are more easily used by modern families than the larger houses on other blocks.
