A Workshop on a
Recalibration of VCU2020:
A Vision for Excellence
October 14, 2010
A workshop on VCU’s Recalibration of VCU2020: A Vision for Excellence was held on
Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the University Meeting Center located at 101
North Harrison Street.
Board members present were: Mrs. Rhodes (Rector); Messrs. Ginther, Jackson,
McCandlish and Snead; and Dr. Doswell. Also present were Drs. Rao, Macrina, Retchin,
and Warren.
Task Force co-chairs, Drs. Retchin and Warren, led the workshop. The workshop was
designed to clarify elements of the Interim Report presented at the August 2010 Board
meeting, to provide the requested data regarding comparison of the current 2020 Plan and
the proposed Recalibration, and to seek the Board’s input and counsel on strengthening
the Recalibration Plan.
The meeting was adjourned at 4 p.m.
